  Auto Start in Effect

Auto start is activated when 3 yellow stage lights are lit. At that point the clock starts giving the last driver staging a preset time to stage. If he is not staged in the preset time, the timing system will red light that racer. Once all 4 yellow stage bulbs are lit, if a driver backs out of the stage beam, the timing system will red light that racer. The preset time for all classes will be determined at our next meeting.

If a racer does not courtesy stage and lights both stage beams at once, the auto start will not activate until the 2nd racer lights his top stage beam. Courtesy staging is expected in all classes.

Cross Talk in Effect for Pro ET Class
The only class affected by crosstalk is Pro ET. The only racers in Pro ET who are affected are racers who use a crossover style delay box. You can choose to not use CrossTalk! For every racer  choosing to not use crosstalk, place the letter N in front of your dial in during each round of eliminations. This will let the tower know you are not using the crosstalk system. The finish line scoreboards will have a dash/minus in front of your dial in. This signifies to you that crosstalk is off in your lane. The tree will look and activate the same as it always has with crosstalk off.

Please plan to attend the drivers meeting at the first race. We will discuss and answer any questions or concerns about either of the above two topics. Our goal is to make sure every racer is educated on how each procedure works before the race starts.

PMRA News  - January 2012
Welcome to the NEW PMRA!

As many of you know at the end of 2011, Mitch Brown decided to ask for some help with the PMRA so we could offer more to the racers and grow the PMRA for another 10+ years. The PMRA is not the biggest, but we do have many of the best!

The 2012 season will be the 19th season for the PMRA and we see many more years of racing in the future. The PMRA has filed incorporation papers and has become a non-profit corporation run by committee. This is important as we look to grow the series. The new committee consists of several PMRA veterans. Rob & Lisa Bennett of Lucas, TX Top Gas and Pro ET racers; Scott Sober from Ponca City, OK Pro ET and occasional Super Gas racer; Jay Doleshal from the Kansas City, KS area Pro Open racer; Dr. Joe Shaffer Super Street and occasional Street ET racer and Marcia Crook, Thunder Valley General Manager. Mitch Brown has graciously agreed to be a technical consultant during this upcoming season.

Our goal is to continue to offer a level of competition, fun, and family entertainment the PMRA has been known for. We have big plans for the future so watch the website for more information. The first goal is to make sure the new committee continues to run the events as before and then improve on them from there.

You probably noticed the new logo at the top. Michael Byars has done a great job designing our new logo and building some great flyers. These will be posted on a newly designed website very soon. Help promote YOUR PMRA by printing the new schedule and flyers and taking them to motorcycle shops, bike nights, and anyplace else you think we can find new people that want to be a part of the PMRA. We will have them in 11x17, 8.5 x 11, and 5x7 formats on the website so you can print them or download and take to a local copy center.

The PMRA will again offer six events with seven classes of competition. Street Fighter and test-n-tunes will also be run as non-competition entries for racers just wanting to get familiar with racing and make laps down the track.
The PMRA has moved the business office to 1880 N. Winningkoff Road Lucas, TX 75002. All information for the PMRA can be found on the PMRA website at www.pmra.net.
2012 looks to be a great year for the PMRA. The economy is growing stronger and several racers that have been absent the last few years have vowed to return. With the loss of several dragbike organizations the last few years along with a track or two now is the time to really support what we all love.

We look forward to seeing you all April 28th at the track.
