SPECIAL STORIES

The Amber Cyclone Race team proudly helped Advance Autoparts with the promotion of Monster Jam that is going on at the Kansas Coliseum this weekend. Phil, Frank and I joined Chad Fortune, driver of the Superman Monster truck at a Hot Dog social presented by our local Advance Autoparts store. Chad and his crew were certainly a great bunch to hang out with and their stories and adventures seem to fall right in line with what happens at PMRA events. We signed autograph cards for all the kids and some not so shy adults from two o’clock this afternoon until a little past six. Events like these certainly help us bring the PMRA message to the public and help support drag racing as a whole locally. Wayne Roberts, owner of WIR even stopped in for a quick visit with the team. Also, on hand were several other drag racers and PMRA brothers. Among them Jon Hurricane Haney, Dr. Joe, Danny Smith and Glen Todd, thanks for coming by gentlemen. Our friend SGT. Blevins was on hand to represent the United States Army’s connection to the team, we certainly want to thank them for their involvement.

After the event we were informed by John Rucker who is the manager of our local store and our primary contact, that their Regional Manager was impressed by the team’s public presence and that not only would they continue their commitment they would increase it significantly!

These venues continue to present more opportunities for us to groom our public image and grow our sponsor portfolio. Sounds like this event may have landed us a deal with a local restaurant and Phil and I certainly are interested in establishing a relationship with an eatin’ joint.
